Honestly...I was tagged

My friend Carrie at Noelle Garrett Designs has tagged me with this Honest Scrap Award. The rules...I thank her (I don't think that's a rule but thank's Carrie!), display the picture, a link to her blog, tell 10 things about myself and pass it on to 7 more lovely people! I first saw her creations on the Lollishop website, then ran into her again on the Friday Flea Market site....now I follow her blog cuz I just love her stuff! Thanks Carrie! So, about me, here goes.....

1. I have been on a diet since I was 15 years old. I just turned 50. (Oh goodness that sounds old...I feel 35)

2. I try to paint or draw or create something everyday.

3. I have paint or glue on the sleeves of everything I wear.

4. I have two dogs that I treat like my children. '

5. I would be happy if I never left my house...I fear I suffer from social anxiety.

6. I love teapots....I have about 30 of them.

7. I love china...I have 5 different patterns and would love to buy more.

8. I love a clean house but I hate to do housework. My partner does all of it.

9. I love everything white...white furniture, white linens, white t-shirts, white button downs, etc.

10. It is very hard for me to come up with 10 things to tell you about myself!!! I hate to talk about me.

Thoughts for the Weekend...

mother's Day Roses..aren't they beautiful??

It's finally Friday! The beginning of the weekend! What do you like to do on the weekend?

Here's a list of all the things I like to do on the weekend:

• Clean the house top to bottom (only when I'm in a cleaning mood)
• Lay on the couch and watch movies
• Paint in my studio all weekend (ignoring everything else )
• Go to auctions
• Spend the day at thrift stores and flea markets
• Spend the day shopping at the beach ( they have the best shops at the beach!)
• Spend the day reading on the beach
• Spend the day doing anything on the beach
• Nap
• More naps
• Spend the day with all of my kids - we laugh until our sides are splitting

Getting no calls from work is always good, too! I'm so tired this week, I'm just hoping for rest, a bit of painting, and some naps.

waiting for this fan ! It's my favorite $5.00 auction purchase!!

Love these vintage curtains. Wasn't sure what to do with the fabric?

For now....using them as.....CURTAINS!!

Vintage ribbon...loads of it. Using it in my art projects.

Amazing how many ways you can use that soft green!

New Art Work..My Petite Doll fm Suzi's Class

Fairyland

Here's my new painting that I worked on in the Suzi Blu Le Petite Doll class. If you ever get a chance to take one of her classes...JUMP ON IT! It was so much fun and I learned so much.

I have a long way to go before my paintings look as good as Suzi's dolls but I really like drawing, painting, and collaging them. I actually finished two paintings and am ready to start on another!

One more week to go in the class and then my next class starts...Layer Love. I think there's still time to sign up if you are interested. I'm driving myself crazy looking for my Paper Journaling Magazine from Somerset Studios....I have piles and piles of magazines around here and I know that I just saw it but now.....

To all the Mothers out there...Have a Great Day tomorrow! Mother's Day is hard for me - I miss my oldest daughter (she passed away three years ago) but am so grateful for the kids I have that try very hard to make the day special for me. My daughter, son and twin nieces that I've raised since the age of 14 are amazing young adults and I can't wait to see all of them tomorrow.

New Class...

My Suzi Blu Class is almost completed....my painting is almost ready to post. It's been SOOOO much fun!

And as soon as that class ends.....Julie at the Land of Lost Luggage is teaching a class.....

I'm so excited to start. Another excuse to buy supplies...I'm sure there's something on the list that I don't have.
