Angel and Vintage Lace

I tried something different with my newest painting.

Take a look.

I started with a canvas - layed down a thick layer of modeling paste

I created a bit of a pattern with the paste.


I painted and collaged directly on the textured canvas.

Tied it up with a piece of vintage lace and fastened on some vintage buttons.

I think it turned out nice...what do you think??

Friday Flea Market

New Collage ...available at my Etsy shoppe - Jackson Square Collections. The collage is on torn cardstock, with vintage buttons, vintage linens, old ledgers, and papers and a lovely quote by John Keats..."Beauty is Truth, Truth Beauty". I used an original photo of a beautiful woman as the focal point is this assemblage...her gaze is absolutely captivating!! I almost kept this one for myself!!
